A Community Session: Housing
Join the RCLI community as we examine the current housing reality, how we got here, and how the Church can engage with this timely issue.
RCLI equips, connects, and mobilizes a network of gospel-centered leaders who pursue a thriving metro Richmond with integrity, unity, and faith-informed influence.
We do this primarily through our 9-month Fellowship program. The best way to understand what the Fellowship really IS, is to attend a session. For the first time, we're excited to offer this special session on the topic of Housing to the wider Richmond community.
Expert panelists like Jovan Burton, Laura Lafayette, Jason Snook and Shekinah Mitchell will help us learn about the current landscape of housing in the Richmond region, as well as some historical context for the issue. Finally, we'll spend time in group discussions to think through how we, as gospel-centered leaders, might engage with this issue in our current context.
In true RCLI form, all registrants will receive pre-reading material to provide context and background for our discussion. There will also be time at the end of the evening to engage with the presenters individually. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Whether you are an alum looking to re-engage with the RCLI community, someone considering applying for this year's Fellowship, or just a person interested in how to engage with this issue, we hope you'll come and experience the information and connection of an RCLI session.

At the November 20 gathering, most of our time will be spent discussing takeaways concerning affordable housing, based on what we learned from the powerful presentations from both Laura Lafayette and John Vithoulkas in September and October, respectively.
Please think about the questions below in anticipation of a meaningful conversation at the gathering. For those who may want to attend virtually, we will be sending a calendar invite and Team’s link in early November.
